This Work Group aims to help teachers in EYFS improve their mathematical subject knowledge alongside developing understanding of age-appropriate pedagogies suitable for Early Years settings. Sessions will have an emphasis on promoting areas of the Early Years mathematics Educational Programme that are important for later mathematical achievement.
Aligned with the NCETM’s Early Years materials, this pathway will explore the development trajectories of three key areas of early mathematics development: Pattern, Spatial Reasoning and Measure alongside three associated pedagogical aspects.

The Early Years SKTM: Pattern, Shape, Space and Measures project is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools.
The face-to-face sessions will be a full day (exact timings to be confirmed) and held at Kibworth Grammar School Hall, School Road, Kibworth, LE8 0JE
